Document Provision - Books
The service allows you to borrow 28 or 14 day loans up to a maximum of 12 items. Books from other libraries will not be supplied.
Procedure:
- Use the library catalogue to find out if the title you require is available as a 28 or 14 day loan.
- Make a note of the title, author, edition, date of publication, publisher, class number and the campus where the book is held. DO NOT RESERVE THE ITEM ONLINE UNLESS YOU ARE ABLE TO COLLECT IT FROM THE CAMPUS.
- Enter these details on the request form , along with your personal details. Save the form on your computer.
- Send the form as an attachment to the Web Helpdesk.
What happens next:
- The book will be issued to you for the stated loan period and the date stamped inside.
- It will be sent to the postal address you have given. There is no charge for this service.
- You will be advised by email that the book is on its way
- You may renew the item online so that it does not become overdue and incur fines.
- After use, the book should be returned to the DLSU address. You may use the enclosed address label and the envelope in which it arrived.
- Payment of the return postage is your responsibility and you are advised to obtain a certificate of postage.
- You are also advised to check your record to confirm that the book has been taken off your record.
Please note:
- Renewing loans enables the borrower to extend the borrowing period and to confirm that the book has not been reserved by another borrower. Fines are, therefore, incurred if books are renewed after the end of their loan period.
- You may also be charged for lost or damaged items.
- Where charges have been incurred, invoices are sent quarterly.
